I was given a cracked version of Minecraft which I loved so brought a legal copy. My problem is that I can get the main screen and then it goes black and I can hear music in the background. There is no error log.. I am very new to this and excited to have minecraft but a bit frustrated I cant lay 1.7.4 and above.



I ment to mention I deleted my cracked version. Any help would be gratefully recieved..

Have you tried deleting your current Bin folder files and your Minecraft.jar/Minecraft.exe and reinstalling?

Yes my son deleted those for me and it is still not working. I also cannot connect to a server I normally play on.

What is your current Java version?

I have version 7 update 67.
