I downloaded Minecraft, put it on a flashdrive, and am trying to install it on my son's XP computer, which we do NOT have connected to the internet. I'm having no success downloading it from the flashdrive onto his computer. Do I have to connect his computer initially to do the download? Any suggestions would help.
Ok. Try to find the OLD launcher and download all the files on to your computer. Then, Cutting and Pasting them onto the flash. Next, load up the drive on the xp machine and copy the files AND the OLD launcher and make sure its in C:\Users\(Name)\appdata\roaming\.minecraft! Finally, start the launcher and you don't have to put any credentials and click run or start etc... It should say "Can't Connect To Minecraft.net" hit "Play Offline" and it should be good!
P.S. Move or delete the Minecraft install before doing this!
