I have downloaded the most recent version of Forge from the official website, and I have deleted the META-INF file from the .rar area and created a mods section in my .minecraft folders. However, whenever I try to play on the Forge account, I either get a black screen, or a screen with the minecraft backdrop (moving scenery) in the bottom left corner, both of which I am completely unable to interact with. I tried opening the launcher with rar and deleting the META_INF folder from there as well, however whenever I try to do so it says the files are corrupt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Download the forge installer from this website, and install the client. It'll give you a profile on your launcher that you can select and that's all there is to it .
