So, a few weeks ago, I had to reset my pc due to a hacker almost getting into it. After I reset it, I got all the drivers I had before, but my graphics card cd was not found.. I got the drivers online, and started playing minecraft again. I then noticed my fps decreased by more than 100. I also noticed on minecraft servers, whenever a message appears from the server, I drop to around 12 fps. It is very annoying especially when you're in the middle of pvping and such. Any idea on why my fps is so low now and this random lag that I cannot seem to figure out? I need help!
In my opinion it seems like the problem is your graphics card. I don't see why minecraft wouldn't recognize it unless there's something wrong with it. If I were you I would start by looking into your graphics card.
Oh, and btw, I used to get around 200 fps.. RARELY under 100.. This is with optifine and more ram dedicated towards minecraft. I also did the same thing and I go from 12-80 now.

Yes, I downloaded this many times. Maybe the website doesn't have all the drivers the disc does?
What do you mean? It's lag.. Whenever that stupid chat message shows up, I drop bad.. Really weird. Here, this is what I'm talking about.
Also, it's all minecraft servers I play on.. I told the server owners/staff about it, and they told me to re download Java. They said they have never experienced the lag I get either... Sooo annoying.
Still sounds like a server problem. Unless more people appear with the same issue, you seem to the 0.00000001% on this issue. Can't really do anything.

Nope, only in Multiplayer. It's the message from the server that lags me very bad, not messages from other people
Well then that is a server issue, not a minecraft issue. Nothing can be done about it except maybe report it to the server owner.
