Hey everybody,
Im playing minecraft and my pc restarts for and unknown reason. I log onto Minecraft again and when i look at my maps my map dissapeared... i look into my .minecraft folder and the map files are there... is there any way i can get my map to become playable again... I worked so hard on that map and even my backup wont even work... it backs up every time when i disconnect from minecraft .... Could anyone please help :C
First of all, make a copy of u world befor u try eny tricks on it. (Always try thinks only on the backup)
Look if u have an file calt "level.dat" in u directory and a file calt "level.dat_old"???
If u have both files try this: (Remember only do this on a backup, so u have allways the original files)
Ok if u want:
Put u world in a compressd file (Like ZIP,RAR,ACE,7ZIP...) upload it to an filehoster and give my the link, i will try to fix it for u.
(Pleas tell my what version of Minecraft u play and if u know u seed. First for testing the fix and second if i have to rebuild the level.dat file)
BAD: U player.dat and level.dat a screwd. Also the backup leveldat have screwd to. (Wrong Chunkformat lebel and wrong seed.)
GOOD: I rebuild the level.dat with a new seed. Cut u world a littel for good looking, generate new chunks around the cut world and run a tool over it, that the border betwean old and new seed not look to bad.
Tool need 10-20 Minits to finisht now, and than i need littel time to upload the world again.

1. delet the file "level.dat"
2. reneme "level.dat_old" into "level.dat"
3. Try if u can see u world in Minecraft agen.
