I am pretty new to this site, and have looked around quite a bit for help on this and could find nothing to support it.
This morning, I updated all my cofh mods to the brand new releases, and was originally faced with an error of cycling mods, but since have fixed it through removing cofh folders from all mods except the core and lib of cofh. Now, however, I am left with my game crashing when loading a world that I select to play, old or creating a new, and every time, the error message is exactly the same. It only happens when Optifine is installed. The only change from it working perfectly to it not working are the updated cofh mods. And it does work fine without the latest optifine HD_U_A4 ULTRA installed.
Update as of August 9, 2014:
The mod author and site have officially said "We don't really care about OptiFine" and this is upsetting because so many people use Optifine because barely any mods seem to care about about how fast and how stable a system can be rendered. So we the people rely on other mods such as Optifine to make things run better and perform smoother. Maybe mod authors like the Team COFH would prefer it if we never used their mods instead. But I guess in a case like this, they are developing for themselves and NOT for the general public and that is abundantly clear.
Is OptiFine required? This is an identified problem on that GitHub link I gave you . It was supposedly fixed in a developers version, you will have to wait till it is released for the public.

Sadly, without it, I have not figured out to get max fps on my system yet without it, even then, if I could optimize regular minecraft without it, I would not need it. I have 32GB of RAM, 3.4GHz processor, GTX 770 Nvidia, and two drives and I can still only get a max fps of around 70 at best, and that is if I am lucky. Any suggestions? Maybe java arguments or in game settings?
That should be good for 64-bit java and your amount of RAM.

Thank you, I will try this. Does having the max and default memory size xmx and xms the same make for smoother game play having them the same value? I ask because I know I will have to increase the xmx MAX as I have 150 mods running at once. So should I increase both or just xmx?
For around the first minute of world gen, I was getting 200 fps so that helped out a lot, but after that, it dropped to 10 and below and spent most of its time at 0 and then after about 20 minutes in the same rendered chunk moving around, it went back up to 20-25.. LOL, so it looks as though Optifine helped with a lot more that I initially thought, and using that with the code you just gave me, whenever they fix the error, it is going to be amazing fps I am sure.
Haha, nice to see that. Try loading a world on the new snapshots using those JVM arguments, I would like to see how much FPS you get with a build such as that :D.

14w32d I get ... holy shizzballz!!! I get between 400 and 800 when not looking at the horizon, however, looking at the horizon I get 80 with 24 chunk render. So pretty awesome to see my computer doing what I paid for it to do lol! Thanks

This is the crash report I get that I would like to fix: http://pastebin.com/bxmzfCE7
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Currently I have permgen set for 256 and 512 MAX
