There may be a thread already about this kind of issue, but I couldn't find one so I'm making a new one.
Basically after version 1.7.10, every time I create a New world I will only get the Biome: Tiaga. I don't have any mods, never even got a texture pack to be honest. I was always just fine with the default.
Whether it be a Superflat, Amplified mode, Large Biomes or normal- it doesn't matter, it's always Taiga, taiga forever in every direction.
^ Superflat- even if I choose the Preset "redstone ready" or "desert" will still come out a tiaga biome..
^ Same with amplified mode, Nothing but Tiaga..
Now I don't I hate Tiaga, I could survive in it if I had to but I don't really want to. I suppose it's better than having an all desert biome glitch but it's still very frustrating. My personal biome of choice is grasslands tbh.
Rarley, and I mean.. RARELEY.. I will actually get a seed with another biome.. but when I do it comes out like this...
Asking for Mine Craft to be realistic sounds dumb since it's a world of cubes and what-not, But Having a giant cake slice out of your world is a kinda overdoing it and annoying. Especially when it's a tiaga chunk that is placed on a perfectly good Grassland biome.
I've tried uninstalling mine craft which didn't really do anything. I even tried adding in some old version seeds I had saved but it failed, simply ignoring the seed and creating a completely new one, with of course, a lovley tiaga biome... so now, i'm hoping this thread will get me somewhat closer to a solution. Please and thank you

Specially the last Pic looks like ther gows somthing wrong with the Mapgenerator. (This are only normal on old maps playt with new Mapgenerator Version.)
I woud sugest u to delet u minecraft (Make packup of u SAVE Folder) and reinstall/Download Minecraft.
I don't know a way to fix this other than manually entering seeds from people that have normal worlds. Sorry, but here are some normal seeds:
-5498713866493270990 (A forest)
SullthariusIsCool (beach next to a forest with some pumpkins)
JohnnyDerp (Little Valley with a mountain and a roofed forest)
And, btw this will probably be fixed in 1.8. I have had problems like this, and they were always fixed in the next update.
I have never had this problem before. I would reinstall Minecraft but i know you have already done that. Did the seeds that Deltabuild gave you work? If not I will research this and help you when I get some information.
Sadly, I already tried this quite recently but still only get tiaga biomes with the occasional chunk missing.
Strange. U are behind an Proxiserver??? If that so try to clear the Proxy Cache.
I never look if Minecraft (or Java) use the Temp folders for put down the files before copy into Minecraft folder.
I wood sugest to clean all Windows Temp folders and also clean the Java Cache.
