I opened up Minecraft one day and noticed it took a very long time to get to the page where you can hit play. So I rebooted my system but that didn't help either. So I waited a few days to see if it would fix but it never did. I open it up and it has the usual Launcher Console then it moves on to the launcher and it loads the profiles for about 2 minutes then moves on to Play Offline then after awhile you can hit the play button. Then once you hit it it takes while then it goes onto a thing that says its downloading for awhile and then it goes onto Launching and then after awhile it closes and after about 30 seconds it opens up Minecraft and it is stuck on the Mojang screen for about 2 minutes then Minecraft is fine and I can do anything.Every time I open it up though it repeats the process. I thought it was a Java problem so I updated to Java 8 but it still didn't make a difference. I also noticed when I opened up eclipse it takes awhile also. So it may be a java problem. Can someone help me?
Not as slow as yours but a lot slower than it was previously. The game itself after it have launched seem to work good as usual though. but loading it takes a much longer time. Especially if you are loading with mods. I tried running the game with gregtech once aswell, it took about 3-4 hours to create all the configs. and after that, it started.
Tried on a different computer, which is much worse than the computer i use now, the launcher itself and game launched a lot faster.
Even if the launcher on my main computer is slow. it gives no errors in launching minecraft, everything is the same as the other computer, everything just takes more time.
Information about my computer:
- Intel Core i7-2720QM 2,2ghz. turboboost up to 3,1
- Nvidia Geforce GT540M.
- 6 GB DDR3 Memory
- Running on Java 7 Update 67 (Tried both 32 bit and 64 bit.)

My computer have these things installed and running,
-Malwarebytes anti malware pro
-Malwarebytes anti exploit
-Avast free antivirus.
I've disabled all these three now, and minecraft loads super fast again, just as before.
edit: Malwarebytes anti exploit is the reason why it slowed down for me.
