I removed the world folder from the server and restarted the server regenerating it.
I can now join the game.
So this leads to questions:
What was in the world that caused the client to fail to authenticate the user? and
Why would this affect 2+ different players in the problem world? the players were in different locations completly, so encountering an entity wouldnt seem to be related.
Was the world data corrupted?
I will also check to see how much ram is allocated to the client.
for the record: deleting my player files off the server (in the world/playerdata folder...) did not help at all. I still got the same error and instant crash.
but deleting the world folder did help. grrr.
[edit] additionally allocating more ram to launching the ftb launcher or in the options to launch modpacks did not help at all.
I am having the same problem as of last night! Any clues yet? anyone?
"com.mojang.authlib.exceptions.AuthenticationException: The client has sent too many requests within a certain amount of time"
for me its with the new Direwolf20 1.7.10 forge pack from FTB
BUT yesterday it worked for a while getting online onto the server.
Then if your using a modded server you are not getting the same problem, please make your own thread in the modified client section detailing your issue, rather then reviving a dead thread thats not related
