Minecraft version 1.7.10 (latest)
iTunes version 11.3 (latest)
Any time I'm listening to music in iTunes while I play Minecraft, the music volume will randomly increase and decrease for split seconds. When I don't have music, Regardless of whether I'm playing music or not, there will be split second blips of audio distortion. This problem seems to be resolved when I disable Minecraft sound all together (though I haven't tested that thoroughly enough to be certain). Has anyone experienced this, or have any ideas what could be causing it? It's driving me crazy!
I'm pretty sure my sound drivers are up to date. I have an AMD system, so I'm downloading the HDMI driver directly from Realtek to see if that helps. Device manager shows 2 "AMD High Definition Audio Device" and the Realtek driver. I'm going to see if disabling both of the AMD HDAD (no, not ADHD) and just leaving the updated realtek enabled will help. I do also have device drivers for my logitech gaming headset, but I don't think those should affect this. Thoughts?
Can't tell if sound is distorted while playing music over speakers. Would be odd if the headset caused the issue, but not entirely unheard of. Possibly just doesn't like minecraft. Anyone else have ideas? If not, I'm chalking this up to incompatible hardware.
