When I try to launch the game it wont launch or anything, when I try to run as administrator it tells me :Program Name- Minecraft.exe, Publisher-Unknown, Origin- Hard drive on this computer. I have uninstalled java and re-installed, I have tried to delete the game and re download but nothing seems to work. I would appreciate the help. I have tried using Task Manager to see what pops up when I try to launch but java doesn't even come up. I have tried doing system restore and it didn't work.
Side note, League of Legends wouldn't work until I re-installed it.
Does the Minecraft launcher come up at all? If so, are you saying that when you click "play" the game does not load? The first time you click "play," the game can take a long while to load as it has to download and install the game files. It loads pretty quick after that.
Not to jack the thread, but I am having the same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled minecraft and java to no avail. In addition, I tried updating my drivers as well. The launcher works perfectly fine, but when I press play, the window opens with the image of whatever else was on screen before, and background music. My specs are Windows 7 64bit, AMD Turion 64 X2 , ATI Radeon X1200, 4.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2, 244GB HDD.
No, the launcher wont even come up, I have played Minecraft on this computer before too, the Technic launcher works, and I can play tekkit through it. I am also running Windows 8, I never had this problem with 7.
