I would really appreciate it if you could help, I have had this problem for ages!!
Try restarting your computer. If that doesn't work, go to the search part of your computer, and look up %appdata% go to the .minecraft folder. Go to the saves folder and put all those folders on your desktop. Then delete the .minecraft folder. Run minecraft and go into single player. Then go into the new .minecraft folder, then the saves, and put those folders back in. That should help.

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately I have never run minecraft on my computer before, so there is nothing in the .minecraft folder
Thanks anyways
You have an exclamation mark in your Windows username, which is causing the issue.
Having exclamation marks or other special characters in your Windows username can break Java, which in turn breaks Minecraft. To fix this issue, either create a new Windows account without any special characters (only A-Z and 0-9), or change the working directory of the launcher.
