Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else has this problem/a solution. Whenever I load minecraft in full screen mode i just get a black screen. The sound still works but I can't get out of the black screen without putting my laptop to sleep and waking it up again (by pressing the power button) as this appears to window minecraft (it works fine when windowed). Alt+F4 or Alt+Tab don't work. For reference my laptop is a Toshiba Satellite P750-135 and the part number is PSAY3E (specs are here). I've updated the graphics driver to the latest version available, which hasn't fixed it. Has anyone got any ideas? Here's a copy of my DxDiag report if that's any help.
Are you sure the nVidia card is rendering the game? Right click on Minecraft, select "run with graphics processor" then select "high performance nvidia processor".
Yes the nVidia card is rendering the game. I've updated the Intel drivers but there's no change.
Running it with the integrated graphics processor lets it run full screen however there is a significant fps difference. (200+fps down to less than 40fps with vanilla and from 20-30 fps on a heavily modded pack down to 1fps)

That's the weird problem. How about kill needless processes if you use integrated graphics?

Unfortunately I play with the bare minimum of programs running. For vanilla I can handle 40fps (I can handle 15fps if its steady). But it would be nice to solve the problem anyway so i can play modded version.
i have the same problem. i made it full screen mode and the screen went black. i always have to reboot my macbook to get back to everything. but every time i launch minecraft, it turns black again. i have to use my dads account to play minecraft. i cant fix it. its the full screen mode that you get when you do esc, press video settings, and press full screen mode from OFF to ON. it just makes it black!!! i need help!
