I've had multiple problems with commands all involving the new naming system. It just won't work. Only the IDs will. For example, if I were to try "/scoreboard objectives add snow stat.mineBlock.snow Snow" it wouldn't work. But, if I were to do "/scoreboard objectives add snow stat.mineBlock.80 Snow" That would work.

I have no idea why, and this has stressed me so much. This won't work in 1.7.10 or the latest snapshots. Does anybody know why this won't work? Please help.

I won't work in 1.7 because it's a 1.8 feature.

Okay, thanks. Though, why am I able to do "/give Jigsaw79 cooked_beef" in 1.7.10?

Mojang started supporting names to ID mapping in some commands by release 1.7.2 but in 1.8 the names ARE the IDs.
