This may seem like a common problem for some people, when texture packs that tout they work on 1.7+ actually don't load. I got Sphax from bdcraft (and I'm using tekkit classic), and I just figured, hell, if someone could upload a texture pack that works for them, I could actually test to see if it's just me, or not me. I've done some screwing around with stripped down packs, with the same results.
So what version of minecraft are you loading what version of texture pack on? Which texture pack?

My mistake. The Minecraft version is 1.7.10, and the pack I am trying to use is found here: http://bdcraft.net/purebdcraft-minecraft. I allocated 3gb to Minecraft, with no success. I'll do more tinkering, and publish my results.
EDIT: Okay, beautiful, Sphax loads for vanilla Minecraft. My only conclusion then is that Technic does not have the latest Minecraft version? That, or if futzing fidgety.

Oh dear God, Tekkit classic uses Minecraft 1.2.5. Well, here's the problem.
