I think I know the answer to this already and I'm not sure I can actually do anything about it but...
I have a fairly long Mine cart run that is designed to (in theory) move mined material from where I am "working" to the mine entrance in a looping fashion. Loads on one end, unloads on the other using a hopper cart and chests etc.. the load and unload works just fine, and if i ride a cart through the run is fine, and if I chase the hopper cart it's going perfectly. Here's the issue... If i am not in the area, say I'm on the surface, the cart stops running. it continues on as if nothing happened if I go to chase it down, but if i stand at one end or the other, the cart never returns.
I think my problem is that the run goes far enough that it crosses from one chunk to another so that the whole run is not in memory at the same time. Anyone have thoughts on this?
