Can someone please help? I have no idea what I am doing.
that error is pointing at the graphics card drivers, not a ram issue.
OP please try running version 1.7.2, if that works then ts a fault with intels drivers and unless the fix it your stuck to 1.7.2 and lower.
There is a possible fix by the community but try at your own risk. http://hopper.minecraft.net/help/references/intel-4-series-chipsets/
the fix on that page has you manually changing drivers, potentially if you get it wrong you could cause your graphics to not output correctly, only try it if you know what you are doing, and if you do try we hold no responsibility if your computer gets messed up.
It may also just not fix your issue.
Another option is to get a real graphics card (assuming you have a desktop computer) rather than using the onboard GPU
No. The whole point of the fix is so that he doesn't need a better GPU. But since it is not an official fix, he has to use it at his own risk. Results could range from doing nothing at all, fixking the problem, all the way up to totally toasting his system.

Did you ever get this fixed I ran into the same crash when I tried to load large texture files with out Optifine Mod, or starting Minecraft with out enough allocated memory. You don't need to mess with drivers. Minecraft use CPU you don't need a dedicated GPU to run it. If you want I can help you trouble shoot your problem.

Allow your java to use more ram.
Create a run.bat file with Notepad
@Echo off
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -server -d64 -Xms1024M -Xmx4096M -jar minecraft_server.1.7.10.jar nogui
pause
"or the name of your snapshot.jar"
Get the latest Java http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jre-7-download-432155.html
Make sure you get the correct version for your OS.
If that's not the issue read development log.

That problem seems cantankerous...
