Having issues getting minecraft to load. I was away on vacation last week then came back yesterday and clicked the shortcut icon to play. The minecraft launcher 1.5 window comes up and the "loading..." greyed out button appears but never changes to "Play".

I have deleted then downloaded the launcher again - no improvement

Updated to latest version of Java - no improvement

Rebooted - no improvement

Got it working again. Followed the instructions on this thread:
