What frame rates are you experiencing? Also, there's no need to allocate 4GB in Vanilla. It should never touch 1GB, and allocating more will cause problems with the Java garbage collector.
I am having the same issue. It is not on your end it is 1.7.10. For whatever reason, it is producing huge lag spikes on both my PC and MAC despite whether I play vanilla or use Forge with Optifine installed.
CPU: Intel i7-4700MQ
GPU: GeForce GTX 765M
Ram: 32 GB (4 GB Allocated)
I have attempted using optifine along with minimal setting available and i still have an obscure amount of lag.
Oddly enough I can play a game like BF4 on ultra settings at 30+ FPS.
