My world is not loading properly when I try to open it. I'm fairly sure it's only that one world, because I have no problems loading other worlds.
What happens is that when I load it, the landscape will usually not load properly. I will just stay in my minecart, hear the minecart sounds and see blue sky all around. However, sometimes, it will load the closest landscape. I will still be stuck, but I can break blocks around me. However, it has no effect on anything. No loose blocks will appear, and breaking blocks below me does not cause me to fall. Many different things do not work properly. My maps are empty.
When I close the game afterwards, my computer will still use resources as if running Minecraft, and I need to open the processes menu in order to properly shut down Minecraft.
It first happened when my game got really slow and laggy, and I tried to leave the area by minecart. It slowed down so much that I had to close the game, and since then, I have not been able to open the world, I'm just stuck in my minecart with nothing happening.
I have previously had similar issues in the same world. I've experienced something similar when I travel too fast in a boat, but it has resolved itself by waiting and trying a few times. I've also once experienced something similar in a area not far from where I'm stuck now, but after many attempts at loading the world, it finally worked.
I have tried downloading McEdit, to change my position and see if that helps. I am able to open the world in McEdit with no problems, so I know the world is there somewhere, and is not completely broken. I'm sure it would be possible to recover it. When I try to save my changes in position and load the world, the changes do not seem to take effect, and I'm still stuck on the same place in the Minecart.
What I'm looking for is any advice on how to fix my world so it will load properly and be playable.
