Ok so I play on this server that has jobs. One of the jobs being farmer. As a result we have 6 different layers of wheat farm to get as much money as possible. I lag fairly bad, my fps drops down to like 30 at minimum during this. One of my friends who has a computer much worse than me doesn't lag at all. I had just a plain minecraft client and it lagged, I got optifine to try and fix it and it still didn't work. Does anyone know what i could possibly do to fix this lag? Anything?

It could be caused by many different reasons, and are you sure your friend's computer is worse than yours, what are the specs (of yours and theirs).

Thanks for the help but I figured it out yesterday, I maxed my fps at 60 and changed Advanced OpenGL to Fast with optifine. One of those two fixed it.
