My daughter recently encountered an issue with selecting items in Minecraft. I checked her settings and under CONTROLS> OPTIONS she had button 2 from her mouse selected. I switched the Select Item option with the Attack one, so button 1 controlled Select and 2 Attack. When Attack was set to button 2 the Attack command worked; however, the Select Item command still did not work. I switched the options back then exited Minecraft And reopened Minecraft which did not work. I restarted the iMac and tried again, still did not work. I went into another world she created and the problem still occurred. I created a new world, no luck. I don't think the issue is caused by the mouse because right and left clicking works properly outside of Minecraft. To cover my basis I switched the wireless Mac mouse out with a wired MS mouse, still no luck. When she asked me to help she was running the non-mod 1.7.10 version, but I discovered the issue started while she was using the Attack of the B Team mod. The issue exists across all versions though. I looked around for possible solutions and tried - deleting the options folder under the .minecraft directory, reassigning various command options, playing Minecraft with the issue for 15 minutes hoping the issue would resolve itself, nothing worked. I checked for directories with a last modified date of today and there were none - including the error.log. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
We're running Minecraft version 1.7.10 on an iMac 2.7 i5 OSX 10.9.4 with 8 GB memory. By default Minecraft is set to "Use Most Recent" version under user profile in the window that appears with the PLAY button.
Thanks in advance!
