I have been having trouble running minecraft on 1.7.10 at over 30 fps. Changing the resolution or the render distance doesnt change fps at all. Here are my specs
Intel 4800mq
Nvidia 870m
8gb of ram
I just downloaded minecraft, is there anything im supposed to do before running it? Thanks for the help
There is other options you can change as well, such as Fast/Fancy graphics (Fast obviously being faster). You can also try playing on a minimized window. What I suggest, however, is playing the new snapshot instead of 1.7.10. There have been several optimizations in the newest snapshot, and an average of a 10-15% FPS increase with all players. All you have to do is turn the VBO option or whatever it is called on. If you don't know how to play the newest snapshots, Google it.
I know that there are more optimizations and stuff, but the point is that I am running slower than I should be. Changing the window or fast/fancy graphics does nothing. There has to be something wrong with my Minecraft. For example, I am running league of legends at 60 fps on max settings, But my Minecraft only runs at 25fps while its in a small window with a 5 chunk render distance and fast graphics. I dont know whats wrong.
