Minecraft (Vanilla & Vanilla launcher) will not allocate more than 455MB (see Fig 1.) I have done everything in my power to figure this out and it has been driving me crazy for the last 4 hours, with everything that I look up proving to be of no use to me.
OK, let's get the basics out of the way first. Yes I have uninstalled Java (32 bit & 64 bit,) the .minecraft folder (including the .exe itself) and even found an issue that people where having with JAVA limiting the amount of RAM it could use under Environment Variables with _Java_Options (this variable does not exist for me.) THOUGH, Minecraft does give me this little neat log that states "Picked up _JAVA OPTIONS: -Xmx512M" (see Fig 2) which makes no sense to me seeing that no such variable exists on my PC. Any help with figuring this out would be much appreciated.
Side note: Other Java apps are not having this issue, including using other Minecraft launchers (ie Technic) set to 2gb in a Vanilla 1.7.10 environment (see Fig 3)

Retired StaffDo you see the _JAVA_OPTIONS entry, or anything that mentions -Xmx512M? Paste the contents of the notepad that opens if you are not sure.
