Hello, Sorry if I put this in the wrong forum section. I've never made a post before!

Anyways I've been wanting to make a minecraft server, a simple multiplayer survival world that a friend and I could use.

So I downloaded Minecraft_Server.exe 1.7.10 off of the minecraft website. It downloaded nicely but when I try to open the application it

just opens for a split second then closes. I've tried restarting my computer and re-downloading Minecraft_Server.exe 1.7.10 but it

still doesn't work. Can someone help?
