I downloaded minecraft.exe on a laptop, moved it to the desktop, and launched it. My cursor indicated that it was loading, but it stopped and nothing happened afterward. The Task Manager said the process was underway, but when I wait (a long time), nothing happens.
I tried:
re-downloading.
terminating the process and retrying.
running it more than once.
restarting the computer.
That's all I've tried so far. If someone can help me, that would be great.
Make sure you have Java installed on your desktop. I'd also recommend getting the 64-bit version of Java. Also, try the jar launcher if the exe keeps failing.
