Hi, sorry if this is already up, I looked and couldn't find.
So to explain I can play every version from 1.7.2 and down, but not up.
I was playing all the snapshots, and saw on twitter there was a new one, so I went to the profile editor and updated it to 14w20b then I ran minecraft and it displayed as shown in the picture on this post, so I tried to go back to the old snapshot I was playing and it did the same with all the versions down to 1.7.3, the buttons were still there but invisible the music was playing as it should, and if I started a world the screen would go blank and I could hear myself moving if I pressed WASD. I instincstivley uninistalled multiple times, but it still didnt work. I have the new snapshot and it gives a crash report instead of running, this it it:

I miss the 1.8 version and really want it back please help
If you can't find the image it's there as an attachment
I just now tried that, unfortunatly it didn't work, I still got the same crash report and the screen problem plus now some of the versions just go white when I launch them
Try downloading the latest version of MC and see if it works
Well, this guy has no idea what he's talking back.
Your Chipset is no longer compatible with MineCraft. Any version of Minecraft above 1.7.2 will be impossible to run .
Let me just quote what this other guy said.
Quote from stupid3700ยปThe Intel 4 Series (and older) video cards are unable to play 1.7.4 and future versions of Minecraft. You will need to buy a new video card or computer to play new versions.
For now, you can still play 1.7.2 or older versions of the game. To change your game to a different version, start the launcher. Select Edit Profile. In the Use Version dropdown menu, select the game version you want. Then click Save Profile.
You will not be able to run Minecraft versions 1.7.4 and above. Details explained in this article,

When I try to download the file to let me take ownership, it says "Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"
So to solve the earlier problem I googled the "Take Ownership" thing and downloaded it and finished the steps, but then all the minecraft versions wouldn't even launch then, so I restored the original opengl file. Thank you for the spark of hope though. I am getting a new computer in a couple of months, the only reason why I'm using this one is because my other computer kept breaking down(I built it and kept repearing it), but one day the power supply short circuited and burn't a little bit, but it travelled through the motherboard and processors, so those were gone as well. Thanks anyway, I guess I have to wait now.
So Cestis Will the thing you just said work 100% if you do it right? Or is it hit or miss?

There is a problem with the link to the download. Is there any chance you know what the link led to?

Sorry for not replying in so long, just download through this link and continue to follow the steps that are given in that tutorial. http://tipsandtricksforum.com/attachment.php?aid=477
When you unzip the folder run the file called Take Ownership - install.reg then continue to step 2, and running the file called Take Ownership - uninstall.reg is the same as running the downloadable file in step 10
If it just contains a file called Add_Take_Ownership.reg run that and follow on to step 2, If you want the option gone follow step 10
