So I was going to install optifine and Xray mods to minecraft, but the way to mod things changed... Can somebody help me out with installing these mods? I hear that you need forge for multiple mods, I really don't know how that works.

1. Download the version of forge you need http://files.minecraftforge.net/

2. Open the .jar and install the client

3. Click on your start button and type %appdata% and go into .minecraft then your mods folder (or create one)

4. Drag you mods jar files into the mods folder

5. Start the minecraft launcher and select forge on the profile selection

That's it, it should be working if not i'll try to help.
