Me and my friend are trying to start a lan world and it wont work. When i make it he cant see it. So i looked up how to fix it. He tried direct connecting to my ip followed by the port and it said "java.net.connectException: connection timed out: connection refused". ive tried lots of things but im still open to all suggestions. please help

We need some information to help u.
- If u and u Friend on the same Network or u try to connect over the Internet?
- Use u ore u Friend some Firewall Programs?
- Have u set an Port-Forwarding rule in u Router?
Yes we are on the same internet. We have disabled both of our fire walls and that didnt work. Im using utorrent as port forwarding. Ive tried making an actual server and i could join it after adding ports tcp and udp, but it doesnt work for my friend after trying that. Also, when i made an actual server, it changed from saying connection refused to no further information.

(Its a different if u both have the same Provider ore on the same LAN Network)
