I've been having this issue for about a year now and have run out of ideas. Whenever I open the Minecraft launcher, the text is displayed all jumbled. Upon typing in the Log in fields the text displays improperly as well, no matter the keys I press. I have noticed the problem exists with other Java-based programs. I've uninstalled Java completely and even deleted the FNTCACHE.Dat file from /system32. I am out of ideas and would appreciate any help, as I miss playing this game! Attached is an image of what the text looks like at the log in screen. Thanks again!
I just tried removing Java completely and reinstalling it from the link, but the problem is still there. Any other ideas as to what could be causing this? It's strictly font-related, but only in Java programs. It also shows up on the Java test script on their website and 8-bit MMO's menu. Thanks again!

Grab the 64-bit if you have a 64-bit OS.
