EDIT! FIXED! It was a problem with Intel! I tried rolling back the driver, and it did the job!
Apparently updating the driver is what screwed it up.
Putting this here because I do have mods installed, though they are all tested, and I know they are not the problem.
I just upgraded to Windows 8.1 (Big DOWNgrade if you ask me >.< 8.1 SUCKS!!!) and had to reinstall my graphic's driver to get the game to even start up and work.
It does work; all the mods load, there are no errors or crashes.
I am using Forge 1.7.2

I am using the Ovo's Rustic Revolution Texture Pack
I also have MCPatcher and Optifine installed (Both of these installed after the graphics flash in an attempt to fix the issue)
OK so here is the description. When it is paused the screen flashes between light and dark. Items, and blocks will flash like this as well. It's not THAT big of a bother, but it is very distracting and is enough to give me a headache while playing.
I have a fresh install of both Java, and Minecraft; a fresh install of the 1.7.2 Forge as well.
I also have a fresh install of the graphics driver.
If you have any other possible solution, please tell me! I want to play a new survival world, but this flickering graphics thing is giving me a headache. T0T
