I have a problem with minecraft crashing and i can't allocate more ram, I have the ram set to 1G at the moment but i want to add maybe 1 or 2G more. I've tried adding more ram but when i press play it says: Error: Could not create the Java virtual machine. Error: A fatal exception har occurred. Program will exit. Anyone have a clue what i have to do in order to fix this?
Do i need to uninstall my current java version? Also i'm using Google Chrome which is a 32-bit browser, will it work having both 32-bit and 64-bit java together?

Retired StaffThey can co-exist, yes.
Thanks!
It still doesn't seem to change the amount of ram that's allocated, when i hit F3 it still says about 1GB

Retired StaffMinecraft only uses as much as it needs. Allocating more RAM will not force it to use more, only have more.
