Older OSX client launcher can no longer connect to mine craft.net

Hello,

I'm running an older version of Minecraft so that I can keep my mods intact, Single Player Commands.

A few months ago the client stopped connecting to Minecraft.net. I load the launcher and click "Connect." It says "Can't Connect to mine craft.net"

Did something change on the OSX launcher?

I'm on Minecraft 1.5.2.

The old launcher has been dropped from official support. Please use the new launcher, you can run old versions on that all the way to beta versions.
