Every time I use McEdit, it creates buggy shadows like this. Upon walking near or on the buggy shadows, they are fixed - however, every time the world is reloaded, they're back. It's annoying, and I want them fixed.
I've tried using McEdit's relight feature, but that quite literally just created more buggy shadows. I'm hesitant to use any more McEdit on my world due to this.
Trust me, I've done that. It fixes the shadows only temporarily. If I go really far away from the area and then come back, they'll return. They also return upon quitting and then loading the world again.
Light has a tendency to get messed up on chunk boundaries. I suppose if all else fails, you could add more torches on the other side of the chunk boundary.
Thank you, but I'm fairly certain it's not a problem with the areas being chunk boundaries. Like I said, it happens only in areas I use MCEdit on.
For example, if I opened up McEdit, added a single block of dirt to the world, saved it, and then got on Minecraft, that single block would have about a 70% chance of having a buggy shadow. If it didn't, and I went into McEdit again and say, deleted the block and then placed it again, it might get a buggy shadow that time. (I tested this.)
Solved it myself. I'll be posting how to fix it for those who may encounter this glitch in the future.
This is a bug caused by having blocks marked as "Future block" in the area you're trying to edit in McEdit. In order to fix it, simply select the entire area, select "analyze", and take note of the ID's of all blocks marked as "Future block" Next, go to "Fill and Replace," press 'R' to go to replace, and then simply enter the ID of the "Future block" and replace it with a vanilla one. Once all "Future blocks" have been removed, the lighting will correct itself.
Afterwards, feel free to put the blocks back as they were.

Is there some way to fix these?
I made my own shader pack, by the way.
