i just got a new computer and when i try to connect to a minecraft server it says "Can't connect to server." I have looked online but couldn't find anything that helps me, so if someone can help me please do so.
There could be many reasons, one is that you may not have a strong internet connection or any internet connection at all, to fix that, check on you connection tab at the bottom right of your screen on the bottom bar, and if your connection is 'Limited' you may want to restart your computer or check you modem. Another reason may be that the server is down, or offline. Many servers have maintenance or updates that disconnect the server temporarily. One more reason is that your Minecraft may not be updated to the servers current version, or you may be in a higher version than the server. To fix this,check which version the server is in by looking to the right of the server's bar and just go into your Launcher, click the bottom left bar that lists your profiles, then select the one you are using and click the bar that lists the versions you can run, change it to the server's version and click 'Save Profile'.

I'm hook up to a lan line so internet isn't the problem. The server isn't down because i check it status on their website. I have tried 1.7.2-1.7.10 and none of them fix it. Do you know anything else that is causing the problem. I have let java and minecraft through firewall and i have turn off antivirus to see if that was blocking it. Neither of those two work.
Hm, I'm not sure, but most of the time it wont be your computer's fault, I would just contact Mojang Support at http://www.help.mojang.com

Well I tried using a proxy and it work so it is my ISP which i don't know how to fix you got any ideas?
If it is your ISP then you will either have to reconnect your LAN cord, restart your router, reset it to factory settings, or contact your provider, otherwise you may have to buy a new adapter for your cord.

Wait I can connect to TheArchon but i cant connect to woodycraft or crewniverse and they are both up got any ideas?
Refresh constantly? Im not entirely sure now what it could be.
