Minecraft (1.7.10) crashes when I hit the home key or app switcher key while playing fullscreen.
OK So I originally posted a bug report on the bug reporting site, but a mod said it was a technical support issue. I'm not sure it is.
Basically what happened (copied from bug reporting site):
//BEGIN
While playing fullscreen multiplayer, I decided to temporarily leave Minecraft using the Start key to check some online references. I pressed the Start key and entered the start screen and then entered my main brower on the desktop. I then closed it and tried to return to minecraft. Expected Outcome
I would have clicked on the Minecraft icon on the bottom taskbar to return to the full-screen game, or at least return to a windowed game. Actual Outcome
The game screen was windowed and frozen on a mostly white screen (picture below). Notes
The problem also occurs if the game is exited via the "application switcher" key which is used to quickly transition between apps. Steps to Reproduce 1. Start the minecraft launcher on a Windows 8 computer. 2. Launch Minecraft version 1.7.10. 3. At any time, either press the start button or press the application switcher key to leave Minecraft.
//END
To clarify the "application switcher key" is a key built into my laptop that conveniently brings up a bar with active applications listed, and tapping that button and pressing enter will lead me to another app. It also happens to briefly leave full-screen.
I tried changing my Java version to 64-bit and increasing Minecraft's physical memory all the way to 6G out of 8, but to no avail.

Latest crash log (contains some system info as well): http://pastebin.com/BddqHyG5
I ran the windows Event Viewer as suggested on hopper.minecraft.net, and it gave me this error entry: http://pastebin.com/5bu2PmuY
Can anyone help me with this problem? Anyone else experiencing this?
