I have searched all over and cannot find help for my specific issue. I play Minecraft at home on a Mac and I am getting the error " java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: " when trying to connect to the server I play on. This was not happening up until about three weeks ago. I do not have this issue when connecting to other servers or playing the game in single player mode. I have run a ping on the server and it is up and running no problem responding to my ping. I can connect to the server from my PC at work and my friends who play on the server are not experiencing this issue. I have spoken with the guy who runs the server and he said there is nothing on his end that is blocking me and his drivers are all up to date. No one else on the server plays on a Mac, and none of them are having issues. I don't know what if anything has changed on my computer other than the regular updates.
My firewall is off on the Mac. As for my router, like I said Im not having issues with any of the other server connections, so I don't feel like its related to my router, I don't know that, but I don't think its an issue. I am running the latest version of Minecraft and Java. If anyone who can help me needs more information just ask, I provided everything that the "How to ask for help effectively" post says to provide, except for the crash log, cause I did not get a crash log. I did however upload a screen cap of the error screen on the server launcher. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me.
