I am playing on a Mac. I have been trying to add a mod to minecraft but my efforts have thusfar been futile. I have successfully downloaded Minecraft Forge and attempted to place the mod .jar in the "mods" folder only to have my game crash. I was then directed to delete my META-INF file from the minecraft.jar in the "bin" folder. The first problem with that is that I have no "bin" folder. So I went to the "versions" folder and found the corresponding .jar to the version I had downloader. I used both Archive Utility and The Unarchiver to open this particular file, only to find no trace of a META-INF file. Meanwhile, I am still unable to mod the game without it crashing.
A mod called JourneyMap3.3.2. I did. It doesn't say anything specific in the crash report. It just says that the game may be modded and the crash report can't be accepted.
what mod are you trying to install? did you start minecraft with forge before you put in the mod? what does the crash report say?
