Hello there.
Im sorry if this thread is not in the apropiate section, i just didn't found any specific section for my problem, so i posted it here because i think this section fits more than the other ones with my problem.
I just buyed an Android tablet, and is my first android device. As far as i understand, Android can run Windows files.
I searched in google (so dont tell me to google it first, ¬¬) and i dont seem to find any solutions for this.
I want to install Minecraft PC version into my tablet, so i can play it there and also join SMP servers.
I have only finded Minecraft Pocket Edition stuff out there for Android, so is there any way to port/play regular Minecraft in an Android Tablet?
(keyboard included, and with touch screen on maybe?)
As Snear said, controls are a big issue. PC version doesn't support a gamepad natively and the controls for touchscreen in MCPE have been very much streamlined and simplified as the PC version controls just don't mesh with a touchscreen.
Also being java-based, it's going to need a lot of computer power. Mojang rec's at least a 2.8 ghz processor. I don't think they make retail Andriod devices that can hit 2.8 ghz yet, not without being hacked. My brand new Kindle HDX has a quad core 2.2 ghz processor which is top of the line right now for Android/Android-based mobile devices. it runs the MCPE version great but that's not enough for the PC version which is pretty bulky, coding wise. Maybe you could get it to run using one of the work-arounds mentioned above but I suspect it'll be very, very laggy.

ModeratorThe CPU architecture and languages use i believe would mean the versions are not cross compatible.
Most android devices wouldn't even have the graphical power to run the PC version anway.
Yep, There is no way to get Android to run windows apps. I would just buy Minecraft Pocket Edition, it works nicely on a tablet.
