I just downloaded the latest Java update so i don't think that is the issue. Can someone please help.. I am not the most knowledgeable when it comes to coding and computers.
Intel never released standalone Windows 8 drivers for the Mobile 4 Series Chipset. They opted instead to just include the drivers with Windows. Unfortunately, those drivers don't include OpenGL which MC needs. So while the hardware can run Minecraft, theres only software available for Windows 7 or lower. These are the 7 drivers: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22163&lang=eng&OSVersion=Windows 7 (32-bit)*&DownloadType=Drivers You can try manually installing them on 8 but people have had varying levels of success with this method. However, where theres a group of people being screwed over by companies, there is innovation and after a bit of googling it looks like a community has created a custom driver package for people in your situation: http://www.eightforums.com/graphic-cards/4418-mobile-intel-series-4-intel-hd-graphics-1st-generation.html That thread should get you going.
