Well, I was playing on my usual ULTRA MODDED SURVIVAL (I say that too much) and I wanted to do something I like to do, which is open two different accounts on the same computer/same modpack.
It normally works fine, but then something happened, the image at the bottom will tell ya.
I got a "Internal Server Error", and this happens every time I try to speak, or use commands with the game that's not hosting the world.
not sure if it'll help, but are you running the client-side version of MC twice? or are you running a SERVER version of MC and then logging in with two client accounts?
for me, i run a server on one pc, then i go to the second pc and login with a normal client side and look for the server, it might work for you as well, since i think the server version is optimized/modified to be able to do what you seem to be wanting to do, namely run multi-player worlds on one pc.. not sure if it will work very well on just one pc though due to your machine specs might not be able to handle both a MC server, AND two different MC clients all at the same time though...

It works in vanilla though!
