Hey, there, Minecraft Forum community! I'm in quite the quandary right now. You see, when the recent snapshot 14w26c came out, I tried updating to it from 14w26b and, as warned, it corrupted my world. No biggie, but I'll just load my backup to see if this problem occurs when I switch to version 1.7.10. It did and my world was, again, corrupted. No problemo, I'll just wait till the next snapshot. 14w27a came out and, oh so shockingly, my world was corrupted. By this point, I was increasingly annoyed. Later, I tried the bug-fix snapshot 14w27b and, yet again, my world was corrupted. Could you, the knowledgeable Minecraft gurus of this forum, tell me what to do? I do not want to delete this world and start over because I put a lot of effort into it. Furthermore, I would not like to stop using the snapshots because the snapshots have all those fancy features with them. Thank you!
P.S.: My backup only works if it's loaded on 14w26b, and I don't want to continue using that snapshot because of a redstone torch bug.
So your backup was made when the world was loaded on 14w26b? If so then you have a corrupted backup and that is why it is corrupted in every other version.
