Okay so I for some reason my computer hasn't been running Minecraft lately. Whenever I create or run a world this error will come up: Connection Lost - Internal Exception: java.lang.Classcastexception: Biz cannot be cast to fv. After that for some reason it returns to the multiplayer screen, even though I have been trying to load up a single player world. I tried undownloading and redownloading my Minecraft account and it still doesn't work.
I have a Windows XP
I'm trying to run 1.7.10

I also tried to find what version of Java I was using and I followed the guide but I still couldn't figure out what version I was using, sorry.

Worked yesterday...

linux ubuntu trusty here, same java error message as your winxp. wow. does that mean it's really a minecraft bug? trying to get minecraft working for my daughter. no go so far.

Are you running MC in full screen mode? Try windowed mode instead as a test.

You may have to edit your .minecraft/options.txt file by hand if you can't get as far as the options menu.

if i login via the ubuntu display manager the minecraft window just goes all white, if i then maximize it it briefly shows a minecraft landscape and then goes all white again. if i login via getty and manually launch X, the minecraft window works well enough to show the title screen, we get as far as pressing the create new world button, it says creating new world, then returns to the title screen, then the java error as per the title of this topic, all without having maximized the minecraft window

Same ordeal is happening to me. Whenever I try and join my server, I get my connection cut with the same message.

I run 1.7.10 on WIndows 8.1

I recently tried to set up my own server, if that helps any......

I tried re-installing Minecraft and Java but with no result

I would prefer if this could be solved quickly

having same problem, but only on a few multi-player servers. If i try a single-player world it is fine, and same with most servers, but some, like Wal-Craft(wal-craft.eu) when i connect it gives me that error message. And even on those servers, its only occaisonal.
