Hi, I recently have been looking into getting some shaders and in order to this, I need Forge. I've tried 4 different versions of Forge, starting with 1.7.10 down to 1.7.2 I've used over 5 tutorials that seemed to have worked. The problem is when I start my game and press play (after selecting the Forge profile and logging in) the launcher will disappear like it does normally, but instead of the Mojang logo coming up for the actual game, the launcher jut comes back. This has happened with every version of Forge I've used. What gets me, though, is I've used Forge before and it never did this. Normal versions without Forge work too. It's only the Forge versions that don't work for me.
Does anyone know what's wrong with it or how to fix it?
Have you already installed the mods without loading Forge in first? Sometimes that causes issues. Try installing Forge and then putting the mods in the mod folder. Also, make sure you are using Forge 10.12.2.1110 with Minecraft 1.7.2.
EDIT: Also make sure your mods are for the proper version of Minecraft, i.e., 1.7.2
