Recenly I took the plunge and installed Forge on my Minecraft account. Everything went right as rain and my son and myself could not be happier.
That's when I attempted to help a neighbour and his son install Forge on his Minecraft. And things went,.. south.
Chronologically things went like thus;
1.) Neighbour downloaded the latest version of Forge, and upon installing it, it would stall on the "unpacking" stage.
2.) Upon myself arriving on scene I noticed his Java was out of date and advised an update to fix the problem.
3.) Java updated, Forge installed, I returned expecting the first mod to be placed in the game like a slam-dunk.
4.) Loading up Minecraft, Profile "Forge" was present, but was demo only. I suggested logging the Profile out, and trying to log back in. Upon trying this, password had to be reset.
5.) Reloading Minecraft, Forge still in Demo Mode, the other 5 Profiles all capbable of full play. One of the 5 is logged out, but cannot be logged back in and now this profile is stuck in "demo only".
I'm at a loss to understand why this is. It not being my Comp, I'm not comfortable about editing/removing files or changing any code.
Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated.
