I'm really confused and sad right now...
For the past few days I've been having a problem with two of my minecraft worlds. I was working on a mini-game map on the first one and worked o it for a couple of hours. I logged off, and shut down my computer. The next day, when I logged back on to work on it, literally everything was gone, except for cobblestone, dirt, and stone. Command blocks were gone, stone bricks were gone, all there was left was the shadows left by the blocks that were gone.
Soon after, I started a build project where I was making one of the best creations I ever made (the pic is below), and this time I wasn't going to let it happen again. I saved an extra copy of the world save to my desktop. Everything was going fine... until I logged back in the next day. Everything was GONE! Only the cobblestone left inside my dragon was left. All the quartz was gone... everything. But at that point I wasn't that worried. I had another world save stuck in my desktop! So I moved the corrupted world to my trash and replaced it with my save. When I logged back in, it was still destroyed, all except for the cobble. Not knowing what to do or how to get it back, I went on a website called minecraft forums... wait that is irrelevant information...
Anyway, if anyone has an explanation or a solution to this problem, please reply. More information about my computer and pictures are here:
I have a late 2013 iMac running OSX, 16 GB RAM memory, 3.5 GHz Intel Core i7 processor
This is the first time anything like this happened, it didn't happen on my old Windows 7 computer
I was using snapshot 14w26c in the build
I used mcEdit quite frequently on both worlds
