Hello! I suppose I'll dive right into the issue. Recently, within the past 24 hours, I've noticed some insanely high chunk update amounts in Minecraft. I'll list my specs, along with what I have tried... hopefully there is someone out there with a remedy for this. Right, here we go:
- 0-1000+ chunk updates at nearly all times when playing any singleplayer, multiplayer OR my Realms world.
- Standing still yields 0 chunk updates, as is normal, however even taking several steps causes the spike
- Such huge spikes causes my framerate to be cut by about 50%. This is NOT the problem, as I still can achieve over 100 FPS, however it is an unwanted (and potentially harmful?) side effect of such huge chunk numbers.
What I've tried:
- Updating graphics card drivers, uninstalling and re-installing Minecraft as well as attempting to use different versions (ex. 1.7). re-installing both 32-bit and 64-bit Java, Playing around with ALL graphical settings with AND without OptiFine installed. This includes view distance settings with which I'd get the problem on both tiny and far.
+ I have a Windows 8.1 Laptop which I've tried Minecraft on which does not receive the problem.
System Specs:
Windows 7
Nvidia GTX 770
I5 3470 (3.2ghz)
8gb RAM ((2GB Allocated to MC))
PS Mojang - Fix the crappy Realms service I pay money for
