I used to play minecraft 1.5.2 and i just got back on it on my laptop to find that a newer version was available. I attempted to download it and failed miserably. It is constantly pulling up a "Minecraft Launcher" which is not at all what i want. I was trying to install too many items mod so i could get some modded stuff and use Horizon to put it on my 360 profile. Easy Stuff! But noooo minecraft wont install therefore i have no place to inject the too many items mod using 7-Zip. i can play! but each time i have to open up the stupid "Launcher". Very tiresome especially sense i so rarely play, it would be nice to have it work when i do. I appreciate any help i can get and i have a windows 8 64 bit operating system if that helps.
