I have a really annoying issue that keeps happening out of nowhere. To start, I have Windows 8.1, am running 1.7.2 with some mods (Forge, Optifine, Voxelmap, bspkrsCore, ArmorStatusHUD, Damage Indicators, StatusEffectHUD).
I first noticed the issue when I signed out of my multiplayer server in the wild the other night. I came back online the next day to a death screen, very confused as to what happened, as it was safe when I logged out. I figured it was a fluke and shrugged it off. I then signed off again later that day and went to our website as I always do and noticed my character was still logged in according to our "whos online" module. Sure enough, I opened Minecraft again and the same thing happened.
I now notice, when I close Minecraft's client, and I open the task manager, there are two Java programs that keep running in the background. Closing them, signs me out of the server.
Any idea what is causing this? It's very frustrating that I would have to remember to close the extra Java program each time I quit Minecraft, or fear dying if I forget, haha.
