Hey guys, it's me, XxAussieLoverxX, and I happen to love Minecraft. But let's face it, vanilla Minecraft just doesn't have enough. So, to fix that, I installed a few mods for 1.7.2. The mods : Minecraft Comes Alive, Mo Creatures, Biomes O' Plenty, Tree Capitator, AussieCraft (Texture Pack) and Mrcrayfish's Furniture Mod. And, I didn't have any problem. I was having fun in a large house, being queen, and having a husband and two kids. However, suddenly, after I looked away from talking to my daughter, it started lagging SOOOO much to the point where I couldn't even look. I thought it was a glitch, so I logged off, and went back on. I was wrong. It was so laggy, the cinder on the torches couldn't even fly away. Is this happening to anyone else? If so, PLEASE HELP ME! Thanks.

Also just curious what your PC specs are... seeing you have been playing for a bit with the mods i assume you have a decent computer but i ask for curiosity, but also maybe not enough ram allocated to Minecraft. Or your mod(s) are glitching/bugging out. Maybe try reinstalling all the mods and do it again. If the lag persists i would assume its your computer.

I wanna help. Better use DxDiag or CPU-Z to submit the specs to this guy. Like he said, it might be the PC that gives MC lags.
And you better use OptiFine as well. It speeds up the game.
And I like aussies! (I'm a filipino, though.)

Thank you. I will install Optifine. And, I suppose it being the PC makes sense... It is a five year old windows 7 home premium :P. Oh my god. So strange, my mc loader randomly popped up XD!
This mainly depends on what kind of computer you have, as well as the performance standard. Another issue could be a mod overhaul of downloading too many mods. Some computers have problems generating such information, let alone a lot of it. And if the texture pack makes everything too detailed then the screen might have problems generating the setting. I'd suggest upgrading your computer or updating everything from the launcher to the systems. If it still doesn't work, then delete the mods(sorry), reinstall minecraft and see if that helps. That's what I did when my computer lagged with mods and to be honest, I personally appreciate vanilla just as it is. Nothing wrong with what you think though, mods can be fun too.

This guy's got the point, aussie gal. Too many mods are fun, but hogs a lot of RAM. I believe that your PC's age might have affected the RAM as well.

I may need more ram. You see, I have the sims 3. Not JUST the sims 3, I also have expansion packs. And, I have every single expansion pack except Ambitions (Too scared; Meteors) and Late Night (I did once have it, but then it became too laggy and it kept crashing.) So, I may possibly need more ram, considering the Sims 3 takes up the most ram.
You're confusing RAM and storage space. The number and size of installed programs is a different matter than RAM. RAM is a memory tier that is used actively in real time depending on workload, and storage is "memory" used simply to store (have installed/saved) stuff. Installing more games won't impact this in any way, so don't feel like you need to avoid that because it's something else.
Hey guys, so I thought I would update as of 6:19 P.M.! So, since it is my favorite world, I tried to go back on. And, it was working fine. Killed a few peasants, no prob. Slayed my mean daughter (not the one I was talking about before), no prob. Got a new daughter to replace the mean one, no prob. It is working pretty good, but I am still to get Optifine.
Reason?
Because, and this has happened before this post, whenever I get close to my house, it starts lagging, ALOT. It almost seems like I'm teleporting when I move. It's not that bad, but it is anooying.
Thanks!
~Aussie
Umm... that's not how it works. You have to upload the image to an image sharing site like Imgur, and then embed the image from that site.
not too familar with that... sorry.I want to get Familiars mod, a food mod, A minimap mod, a craftguide, and chococraft.
Will this destroy my game completely?

Is it 1.6.4? If it is, I have some tips for you. My computer SUCKS, and when I say sucks, I mean SUCKS, Minecraft is barely playable, and lets face it, who wants to play Minecraft at 5-10 FPS? Exactly. I have some tips for 1.7 and 1.6, the 1.6 got me to 60 FPS constantly, keep in mind I have a VERY old computer from like 2007-2008, and 1.7 30-40 FPS.
1.7.x:
Download Optifine. I know pretty much everyone knows this, but I can't stress this enough. It boosted even MY crappy computer and gave Minecraft even MORE options to boost performance. Definitely recommend this one.
Give Minecraft more RAM. This one isn't that well known, but it gives Minecraft that little extra oomph that it needs. To see your RAM, on Windows 7, click the start button, right click Computer, and click Properties. Then wait a little bit and when it loads, look under system. Below properties there is a thing names Installed memory (RAM): [amount of GB] Remember that as that is important. Open your Minecraft launcher and go to your profile of choice. (If you are using mods, go to your Forge profile) and click Edit Profile. There go to JVM Arguements and check the box. (If it is already checked leave it that way) See this? -Xmg1G Well, change the number to half the amount of RAM you have. i.e. if you have 4 GB of RAM, change it to -Xmg2G
Decrease all your settings. I know it makes Minecraft look crappy, but whats more important? Performance or beauty? Quality over quantity, you don't need your render distance at 9000. 2-5 is fine.
Edit your Graphics Card driver. There are tutorials out there on how to do this, so I'm not going to explain it here, for it takes WAY too much time. Or just buy a new graphics card in general.
And that's all for 1.7.x! Now for 1.6.4.
1.6.4:
Do everything up there, except for the Optifine version, change it to 1.6.4, and not 1.7.x.
Download FPS+. It is a great mod, with a complicated installation, but is more than worth it. I'm not going to explain how to install it, because there are so many tutorials on YouTube, but it boosts your FPS at least 30-40 FPS.
That's it for 1.6.4! I know it's not a lot, but it helps A LOT. Tell me how it went!

You should upgrade your computer as well. Better hardware, better and smoother gameplay.
